We demonstrated that high humidity worsened psoriasis relapse in murine psoriasiform skin inflammation by increasing skin‐resident memory CD8+ cells via upregulating IL‐15Rα on keratinocytes. The increases in IL‐15Rα and memory CD8+ cells were attributed to S. nepalensis and its metabolite ADMA in skin exposed to high humidity.

Dog Breed Classification Using Part Localization [PDF]
We propose a novel approach to fine-grained image classification in which instances from different classes share common parts but have wide variation in shape and appearance. We use dog breed identification as a test case to show that extracting corresponding parts improves classification performance.

Liu et al. define a systems‐level interactome of fibroadipogenic progenitor (FAP)‐mediated signaling in skeletal muscle by integrating single‐cell transcriptomics with FAP depletion‐based perturbation analysis. Functional interrogation using a conditioned media bioassay links predicted signaling to multicellular outcomes, establishing a framework to ...

Italian local goat breeds have better milk coagulation properties than cosmopolitan breed
Native goat breeds play an important role both in the safeguarding of biodiversity and the development of local economy. This study aimed to evaluate milk coagulation properties (MCP) of local (Garganica, Girgentana, Maltese, Mediterranean Red) and ...

Growth, blood, carcass and meat quality traits from local pig breeds and their crosses.
Contrary to intensive pig production, local pig breeds and their production systems are able to respond to the high criteria and expectations of modern society in regard to some environmental aspects, animal welfare, food quality and healthiness.

Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...
