Electroacupuncture Improves the Learning and Memory by Modulating Hippocampal Glucose Metabolism through IGF1/IGF1R Signaling in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electroacupuncture (EA) ameliorates learning and memory function in 5×FAD mice by regulating the brain glucose metabolic network. This neuroprotective effect is closely related to enhancing neuronal energy utilization via the IGF1/IGF1R signaling pathway.

Evaluation and gastronomic repositioning of beef from local cattle breeds

open access: yes, 2023
Local cattle breeds represent not only a genetic heritage, but also have significant economic and, above all, gastronomic potential. A considerable part of the public does not see the potential of these breeds for the preservation of the identity of the ...

Targeting the PDK1/c‐Myc/SOX10 Signaling in Oligodendrocytes Alleviates Neuropathic Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work reveals that oligodendrocyte homeostasis, mediated by PDK1, is a critical determinant of neuropathic pain (NPP) pathogenesis. Disruption of PDK1 in oligodendrocytes impairs SOX10‐dependent myelination programs through c‐Myc accumulation, leading to disrupted myelination and the pathophysiology of NPP.

Investigation of relationships between biochemical polymorphism and some production charecters on local breeds and cross breeds of sheep in konya central animal research institute [PDF]

open access: yesEurasian Journal of Veterinary Sciences
In the study to determine the genetic structure of local breeds and cross breeds of sheep, three different enzyme loci; carbonic anhydrase (CA1), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and esterase D (EsD) were examined by starch gel electrophoresis.

Hijacking the Host Clock: A Nematode Effector Antagonizes Soybean Circadian Defense and Translation Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Soybean employs its circadian clock, governed by GmCCA1, to rhythmically defend against soybean cyst nematodes. The pathogen retaliates by secreting the effector Hg4E02, which hijacks the clock to suppress defense and co‐opt the host's translation machinery for nutrient acquisition.

LIFETIME PRODUCTION OF SLOVENIAN LOCAL GOAT BREEDS

open access: yesPoljoprivreda, 2015
The objective of the study was to analyze lifetime production data for two Slovenian locally adapted dairy breeds: Slovenian Saanen goat (334) and Slovenian Alpine goat (1105) and for the dairy type of Dreznica goat (141) which is the only Slovenian autochthonous goat breed. Dataset included records from 54 farms.

3D Chromatin Architecture Provides Insights Into Leaf Trait Variation Among Pear Species

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Three‐dimensional (3D) chromatin architecture plays a fundamental role in eukaryotic gene regulations, its functional significance in perennial fruit trees remains poorly characterized despite extensive applications in crop genomics. Here, we developed high‐resolution (∼5 kb) Hi‐C maps of Pyrus and compared 3D genomic architecture of three ...

On Determination Method for Resolution of Secondary Electron Images in Scanning Electron Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An idealized SEM, termed Rayleigh's microscope, is constructed by Monte Carlo simulation to represent imaging conditions that just satisfy the Rayleigh criterion. Based on this physically defined model, sharpness–resolution conversion curves are established and combined with the Rose criterion, enabling automated resolution evaluation from practical ...
