Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP) is a powerful class of algorithms for solving nonlinear optimization problems. Local convergence of SQP algorithms is guaranteed when the Hessian approximation used in each Quadratic Programming subproblem is close ...

In the present paper, we consider a construction proposed in Xiao and Yin (2016) to improve the order of convergence of the method from p to p + 2m under weaker assumptions.

Local Linear Convergence Analysis of Primal-Dual Splitting Methods
In this paper, we study the local linear convergence properties of a versatile class of Primal-Dual splitting methods for minimizing composite non-smooth convex optimization problems. Under the assumption that the non-smooth components of the problem are

On the Local Convergence of an Eighth-order Method for Solving Nonlinear Equations
We present a local convergence analysis of an eighth-order method for approximating a locally unique solution of a non-linear equation. Earlier studies such as have shown convergence of these methods under hypotheses up to the seventh derivative of the ...

Local Compactness in Fuzzy Convergence Spaces
The authors introduce and investigate two notions of locally compact fuzzy convergence spaces, continuing \textit{G. Jäger}'s paper on relative compactness [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 101, No. 1, 159-165 (1999; Zbl 0930.54008)]. Among others they show that the categories of these spaces are coreflective subcategories of the category of fuzzy convergence spaces.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Expanding the Applicability of Four Iterative Methods for Solving Least Squares Problems
The aim of this paper is to expand the applicability of four iterative methods for solving nonlinear least squares problems. The advantages obtained under the same computational cost as in earlier studies, include: larger radius of convergence, tighter ...

Local Convergence for Multi-Step High Order Solvers under Weak Conditions
Our aim in this article is to suggest an extended local convergence study for a class of multi-step solvers for nonlinear equations valued in a Banach space.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
