Resonant Scattering and Classical Localization
1987After the work of John, Sompolinsky, and Stephen(1), the study of localization in classical systems has received renewed interest. Most calculations have been carried out using a Gaussian noise representation for the disorder. Kirkpatrick(2) was the first to study localization in the presence of finite-size inhomogeneities.

Local THz resonances in semiconductors
2014The versatile nature of semiconductors with a permittivity that can be controlled by the amount of free carriers, makes them excellent materials for active plasmonics and metasurfaces. Structures made out of semiconductors can give rise to localized resonances at THz frequencies.
