Narration und Materialität im Bilderbuch
In this contribution, I pursue the question in which way the materiality of the picturebook contributes to the development of the story. To this end, I carry out two case studies on narrative picturebooks for children from the age of 2.

Non-locality in Granular Flow: Phenomenology and Modeling Approaches
This paper reviews the emergence of non-local flow phenomena in granular materials and discusses a range of models that have been proposed to integrate an intrinsic length-scale into granular rheology.

Frisch, Muller and Belot on an Inconsistency in Classical Electrodynamics [PDF]
This paper follows up a debate as to whether classical electrodynamics is inconsistent. Mathias Frisch makes the claim in Inconsistency, Asymmetry and Non-Locality ([2005]), but this has been quickly countered by Fred Muller ([2007]) and Gordon Belot ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Many Worlds Model resolving the Einstein Podolsky Rosen paradox via a Direct Realism to Modal Realism Transition that preserves Einstein Locality [PDF]
The violation of Bell inequalities by quantum physical experiments disproves all relativistic micro causal, classically real models, short Local Realistic Models (LRM). Non-locality, the infamous “spooky interaction at a distance” (A.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

The Principles of (Partial Locality, Partial Indeterminacy, Partial NonLocality) and (Multi Locality, Multi Indeterminacy, Multi NonLocality) [PDF]
This article introduces new neutrosophic principles aiming to extend and generalize the concepts of locality and nonlocality by addressing scenarios involving indeterminacy, together with partiality and multitude, in physics, mechanics, cosmology ...

Causal Graphs for EPR Experiments [PDF]
We examine possible causal structures of experiments with entangled quantum objects. Previously, these structures have been obscured (i) by assuming a misleading probabilistic analysis of quantum non locality as 'Outcome Dependence or Parameter ...

Translating Submachine Locality into Locality of Reference
The design of algorithms exhibiting a high degree of temporal and spatial locality of reference is crucial to attain good performance on current and foreseeable computing systems featuring ever deeper memory hierarchies.

In English, subject-verb agreement is deemed to be ‘local’ if the controller (i.e., the subject) and the target (i.e., the main verb) are adjacent, but ‘non-local’ if these items are separated by one or more terminal nodes.
