Location privacy preserving scheme against attack from friends in SNS

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2016
In order to enrich the performance of the user's location information and to meet the diverse needs of users,a location privacy protection scheme based on attribute encryption was designed, which provided precise, more accurate, fuzzy and private four modes

Spectral clustering and embedding-enhanced POI recommendation in location-based social network

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2020
In order to effectively capture the spatial characteristics of multi-dimensional context information in LBSN,and deeply explore the non-linear interaction between users and POIs,a spectral embedding enhanced POI recommendation algorithm, namely PSC-SMLP ...

A Collaborative Filtering Algorithm with Intragroup Divergence for POI Group Recommendation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
The purpose of POI group recommendation is to generate a recommendation list of locations for a group of users. Most of the current studies first conduct personal recommendation and then use recommendation strategies to integrate individual ...

Scaling laws for the movement of people between locations in a large city [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Large scale simulations of the movements of people in a ``virtual'' city and their analyses are used to generate new insights into understanding the dynamic processes that depend on the interactions between people.

Place-Type Detection in Location-Based Social Networks

open access: yesProceedings of the 28th ACM Conference on Hypertext and Social Media, 2017
Determining the type of places in location-based social networks will contribute to the success of various downstream tasks such as POI recommendation, location search, automatic place name database creation, and data cleaning. In this paper, we propose a multi-objective ensemble learning framework that (i) allows the accurate tagging of places into ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Generating a heterosexual bipartite network embedded in social network

open access: yesApplied Network Science, 2021
We describe an approach to generate a heterosexual network with a prescribed joint-degree distribution embedded in a prescribed large-scale social contact network.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

GROUPING METHOD FOR NEIGHBOR OBJECTS OF MOVING OBJECT USING HASH INDEX [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2015
A location-based social network (LBSNS) is a social network service (SNS) that is based on a user’s location, unlike SNS, and facilitates additional activities like neighbour-user search and group formation in real time.

Social-aware Forwarding in Opportunistic Wireless Networks: Content Awareness or Obliviousness?

open access: yes, 2014
With the current host-based Internet architecture, networking faces limitations in dynamic scenarios, due mostly to host mobility. The ICN paradigm mitigates such problems by releasing the need to have an end-to-end transport session established during ...
