Longitudinally extensive transverse myelitis
Current Opinion in Neurology, 2014Longitudinally extensive transverse myelitis (LETM) is a frequently devastating clinical syndrome which has come into focus for its association with neuromyelitis optica (NMO). Neurosarcoidosis presenting as longitudinally extensive transverse myelitis
Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, 2009Neurosarcoidosis is an uncommon clinical entity, even in patients with systemic sarcoidosis. Its presentation is widely varied but longitudinally extensive transverse myelitis secondary to neurosarcoidosis has only rarely been described. We report the case of a patient with pulmonary sarcoidosis and congenital immunosuppression who developed ...

Longitudinal ultra-extensive transverse myelitis as a manifestation of neurosarcoidosis
Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 2015To analyze the clinical characteristics and outcome of patients with neurosarcoidosis manifesting as longitudinal transverse myelitis spanning 6 or more spinal segments.Retrospective analysis of 7 cases from a single institution.Four males and 5 African-American were included. The mean onset age for neurological symptoms was 49.1 years old.

Diagnostic approach of patients with longitudinally extensive transverse myelitis
Acta Neurologica Belgica, 2012The aim of this study is to present a diagnostic and therapeutic approach in patients with LETM. In a period between June 2008 and June 2010, all patients who fulfilled criteria for LETM were included in the study. All patients underwent a standardized protocol of investigations presented in this paper.

A Case of Longitudinally Extensive Transverse Myelitis
2018Primary CNS angiitis (PACNS) is distinguished from other vasculitides by its exclusive involvement of the CNS, generally in a multifocal manner. Lesions are typically, but not invariably, ischemic or hemorrhagic. Symptoms most frequently include headache, but also commonly involve cognitive impairment, focal neurological symptoms, and sometimes ...

Longitudinal extensive transverse myelitis due to tuberculosis: A case report
The Neuroradiology Journal, 2022Neurotuberculosis is a potentially fatal disease that can present with upper or lower motor neuron symptoms.
