Recurrent anorexia because of gastrointestinal beriberi in a home care patient
An elderly man with a history of unexplained anorexia and lethargy was diagnosed with gastrointestinal beriberi during home care. Empiric oral thiamine supplementation led to dramatic improvement, underscoring the importance of early recognition and treatment of thiamine deficiency.

Based on the structure and ligands of AhR, this review introduces the AhR‐related signaling pathways and their roles in health and diseases. Agonists and antagonists of AhR as well as new strategies for treatment using the microbial–AhR axis are summarized. A prospect was made for the future use of AhR as a therapeutic target.

A Rare Case of Chilaiditi Syndrome as a Driver of Chronic Respiratory Failure
This case describes a 66‐year‐old woman with chronic hypercapnic and hypoxemic respiratory failure due to Chilaiditi syndrome, an uncommon complication of bowel interposition between the liver and diaphragm. Her course was refractory to noninvasive ventilation and conservative bowel regimens, ultimately proving fatal.
