Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Ni Interlayer to Improve Low-Pressure Diffusion Bonding of 316L SS Press Fit Tube-to-Tubesheet Joints for Coiled Tube Gas Heaters [PDF]
This study suggests a new approach to diffusion bonding (DB) 316L stainless steel: a low-pressure procedure that includes a nickel interlayer. In this approach, relatively lower pressure is applied to the sample before the DB process, in contrast to the usual approach in which higher pressure is applied during the DB process.

The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

HYDRODYNAMIC AND HEAT TRANSFER STUDIES IN RISER SYSTEM FOR WASTE HEAT RECOVERY USING LIMESTONE [PDF]
Suspension pre-heater (SP) system has been a unique development in the field of cement manufacture. A modern dry process cement plant vitally constitutes, the suspension pre-heater and the pre-calcinator, which together account for a drastic reduction in

Interferon type 1 (IFN‐1) production and signaling is associated with the acquisition of therapy resistance, following chronic DNA damage, via Interferon‐related DNA damage resistance signature (IRDS) gene expression. An alternative, DNA damage‐independent role of sustained IFN‐1 mediated resistance was identified and characterized by the emergence of ...

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Reduction of the Cavitation Noise in an Automotive Heater Core
This study investigates the mechanism behind the cavitation-induced noise in an automotive heater core and proposes a structural solution to eliminate it. Abnormal noise during cold-start conditions in a compact passenger vehicle was traced to cavitation

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
