Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Analysis of low velocity frontal impacts
Clinical Biomechanics, 2003The objectives of the study were to determine the phasic recruitment of cervical muscles with increasing magnitudes of low velocity frontal impacts, and to determine quantitative effects of awareness of impending impact in comparison to being impacted unawares.Biomechanics of low velocity frontal impact is poorly understood and requires more work.Ten ...

Composite materials response under low-velocity impact
Composite Structures, 1984Abstract A simple model, based on energy considerations, has been tested to predict the maximum contact force during a low-velocity impact between an impactor and a composite plate. Three different composites, i.e. glass cloth-polyester, carbon cloth-polyester and nylon cloth-polyester, were examined.

Low-velocity impact strength of sandwich materials
Journal of Sandwich Structures & Materials, 2010Sandwich materials have been widely used in weight-sensitive structures in many fields, especially in the transport industry. There are different classes of sandwiches with a wide range of materials and properties within each type. The aim of this article is the comparison of the impact strength between polymeric and aluminum sandwich structures ...

Metallic dust collectors for low velocity impacts
Advances in Space Research, 1986Experiments simulating the non-destructive collection of cosmic dust are conducted at the laboratory of the Lehrstuhl fur Raumfahrttechnik (LRT) of the Technische Universitat Munchen (TUM). The electromagnetic accelerator setup is described, which is capable of obtaining an impact velocity between 10 and 400 m/s with particle masses up to 1 g.

Low-velocity impact behavior of fiber metal laminates
Journal of Composite Materials, 2011The low-velocity impact response of a range of fiber metal laminate (FML) panels was investigated through testing and finite element simulations. The objective of this study was to understand the impact-damage resistance of these novel composites, so that they can be designed optimally for impact-resistant aircraft applications.

Instrumentation of low velocity impact facility
2017 International Conference on Computing Methodologies and Communication (ICCMC), 2017Our solar system can be mainly defined as a system of objects orbiting around Sun. Among these are mainly Planets and their moon after them we have asteroid and Kuiper belt other than them there are objects with elliptical orbits with high eccentricity or not bound to Sun at all. These objects are smaller in size and comets come into this class.
