A homogeneous relaxation low mach number model [PDF]
In the present paper, we investigate a new homogeneous relaxation model describing the behaviour of a two-phase fluid flow in a low Mach number regime, which can be obtained as a low Mach number approximation of the well-known HRM. For this specific model, we derive an equation of state to describe the thermodynamics of the two-phase fluid.

An Effective AUSM-Type Scheme for Both Cases of Low Mach Number and High Mach Number
A new scheme called AUSMAS (Advection Upstream Splitting Method for All Speeds) is proposed for both high speed and low speed simulation cases. For the cases of low speed, it controls the checkerboard decoupling by keeping the coefficient of the pressure

Scale-Resolving Simulations of a Circular Cylinder Subjected to Low Mach Number Turbulent Inflow
Inflow turbulence is relevant for many engineering applications relating to noise generation, including aircraft wings, landing gears, and non-cavitating marine propellers.

Aeroengine High-Attitude/Low Mach Number Oscillations: Mechanism and Prevention Design
The issue of aeroengine oscillations over high-attitude and low-speed flight envelope has been an unsolved problem due to their classified nature and hard reproduction in simulated altitude test stand.

A low Mach number solver: Enhancing applicability [PDF]
In astrophysics and meteorology there exist numerous situations where flows exhibit small velocities compared to the sound speed. To overcome the stringent timestep restrictions posed by the predominantly used explicit methods for integration in time the Euler (or Navier-Stokes) equations are usually replaced by modified versions.

Numerical Modeling of Hydrogen Combustion: Approaches and Benchmarks
The paper is devoted to the analysis of two different approaches for the numerical simulation of gaseous combustion. The first one is based on a full system of Navier-Stokes equations describing the dynamics of the compressible reactive medium, while the

Profile of a low-Mach-number shock in two-fluid plasma theory [PDF]
Magnetic profiles of low-Mach-number collisionless shocks in space plasmas are studied within the two-fluid plasma theory. Particular attention is given to the upstream magnetic oscillations generated at the ramp.

The Mach number is one of the key parameters of collisionless shocks. Understanding shock physics requires knowledge of the spatial scales in the shock transition layer.
