Brown recluse spider (Loxosceles) bites cause lesions ranging from chronic necrotic ulcers to acute life‐threatening sepsis. Based on our experience in treating acute and chronic wounds with negative pressure, we postulated that vacuum‐assisted closure (VAC) would be valuable in this application.
