An acid‐catalyzed process provides a robust method to upcycle even impure and colored PLA and POM plastic waste into high‐value DOXs. Incorporating these DOXs enables the synthesis of PLLA materials that exhibit enhanced biodegradability, surpassing the performance of cellulose.

Objective The evidence regarding adherence to dietary patterns and Parkinson's disease (PD) risk is inconsistent. Because of the long prodromal PD phase, reverse causation represents a major threat to investigations of diet in relation to PD. We examined whether adherence to the Mediterranean (MED) and Mediterranean‐Dietary Approaches to Stop ...

Metformin is the most widely prescribed antidiabetic drug, yet adherence remains difficult to objectively assess. Using untargeted metabolomics and lipidomics, we analyzed plasma from 637 patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) with confirmed metformin use and 143 nondiabetic controls, annotating 614 metabolites.

Ronzano et al. show that neuronal activity promotes node‐like cluster (NLC) formation before (re)myelination by regulating β1Nav and Nav1.1, which are essential for NLC assembly. This may represent an intermediate step in activity‐driven myelination and contribute to the regulation of axonal conduction.

ABSTRACT In this interpretive phenomenological analysis, we interviewed 10 women to make meaning of their lived experiences of sex trafficking and mental health challenges and how relational dynamics influenced their healing and sense of self. Our analysis revealed four themes: (a) central relational paradox, which described internalized shame and ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Accessory canals (ACs) are anatomical features that may harbour residual infected tissue and contribute to persistent periradicular inflammation. Although filling of these structures is occasionally achieved passively, their intentional mechanical negotiation remains rarely documented in clinical practice. This case series aims to

Weekly moderate‐to‐vigorous activity (≈6 h) induced a marked increase in ACE promoter methylation in exercised knee‐extensor muscle. In combination with the ACE I/D genotype, ACE methylation contributed to ACE gene activity regulation in ways aligning with the slow‐twitch, aerobic muscle phenotype and its metabolic response to endurance exercise ...

Hydrogen voltage gated channel 1 (HVCN1) is upregulated in microglia of both ALS patients and its mouse model. HVCN1 deficiency enhances microglial migration via suppressing Akt signaling, promotes neurotrophic capacity and motor function, and prolongs survival of the SOD1G93A ALS mice. This study identifies HVCN1 as a novel, promising druggable target
