A sinusoidal LPC vocoder

2000 IEEE Workshop on Speech Coding. Proceedings. Meeting the Challenges of the New Millennium (Cat. No.00EX421), 2002
Twenty years of work with sinusoidal modeling of speech has lead to very competitive principles of low rate coding. In this study, we discuss a few issues in the design of a sinusoidal coding system. We stress that by a careful design of all blocks of the encoder and decoder, allowing for some additional complexity, it is possible to build a low rate ...

Multi-Pulse LPC

1984
An improved technique of linear predictive coding in which the normal white noise or impulses excitation of the linear predictive filter is replaced by a modified impulse excitation only. A perceptually weighted spectrum matching technique is used to place the impulses.

A model of LPC excitation in terms of eigenvectors of the autocorrelation matrix of the impulse response of the LPC filter

International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2003
A description is presented of a framework for developing compact and accurate representation of LPC (linear predictive coding) excitation. In this representation, the excitation waveform is expressed as a linear combination of the eigenvectors of the autocorrelation matrix of the LPC filter's impulse response.

LPC-Based Narrowband Speech Steganography

2012
This paper proposes a new speech steganography system for secure sound massages sharing. This system exploits the advancements in speech processing to hide efficiently secret speech in narrowband cover speech. Linear predictive coding is used to represent the secret speech with reduced number of parameters.

A Study on Splitting LPC Synthesis Filter

2013
In this study, for analysis speech signal the 10th order LPC synthesis filter is split into five 2nd order filters to avoid the nonlinear interactions of the poles. This novel algorithm allows us to reconstruct the wideband speech signal from the narrowband one by using the relationship between AR coefficients and its corresponding analog poles.

The Assertoric Syllogistic in LPC

2010
As the previous chapter indicates I am going to rely on modern lower predicate calculus (LPC) to represent Aristotle’s syllogistic and proof methods. This way of representing Aristotle is often regarded with suspicion. It should not be, and I want to take this chapter to explain why it should not.

Vocoder par LPC

2012
