AbstractIncorporation of rare earth elements (REE) in garnet enables garnet chronology (Sm‐Nd, Lu‐Hf), and imparts a garnet‐stable signature on cogenetic phases, which allows petrochronology and general petrogenetic tracing of garnet stability in minerals and melts.
