Salinity tolerance of larvae of the mangrove red snapper (Lutjanus argentimaculatus) during ontogeny [PDF]
Abstract Salinity tolerance and the effects of salinity on growth, condition factor and chloride cell (CC) densities were evaluated for Lutjanus argentimaculatus larvae during ontogeny. Tolerance of L. argentimaculatus larvae to abrupt changes of salinity from 32 ppt varied with age.

Genetic population structure of mangrove jack, Lutjanus argentimaculatus (Forsskål) [PDF]
Translocations of mangrove jack, Lutjanus argentimaculatus (Forsskål 1775), to increase angling opportunities in artificial impoundments are foreshadowed in Queensland. To evaluate genetic population structure before translocations occur, mangrove jack were collected from three sites on the Queensland coast and from one site on the north-western coast ...

DISTRIBUTION EXTENSION OF LUTJANUS ARGENTIMACULATUS (LUTJANIDAE) AND PSENES PELLUCIDUS (NOMEIDAE) TO THE WATERS OF MALTA, CENTRAL MEDITERRANEAN SEA [PDF]
The recent first findings of the Lessepsian migrant Lutjanus argentimaculatus (Forsskål, 1775) and of the Atlantic range-expanding Psenes pellucidus Lütken, 1880 in the waters of Malta, central Mediterranean, are described. The current distribution in the basin of these two fish species is briefly discussed.

Intensity and Predilection of Helminth Parasites of the Red Snapper (Lutjanus argentimaculatus) [PDF]
Marine fish, particularly the red snappers, are often exposed to helminth parasitic infestation. As a result of the parasitic infestation, the fish population, the fish weight, and the morphological changes in the fish are shrinking. The present research aimed to find out the intensity and predilection of the helminth ectoparasites over the infection ...

An insight into the gut microbiology of wild-caught Mangrove Red Snapper, Lutjanus argentimaculatus (Forsskal, 1775) [PDF]
Abstract Documenting bacteria present in healthy individuals forms the first step in understanding the effects of microbial manipulation in aquaculture systems. Among the commensal microflora, gut microbiota has attracted extensive attention owing to their role in host metabolism and health maintenance. Basic knowledge on normal gut microbes within a
