Review on Genetics and Breeding of Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill)

open access: yesAdvances in Crop Science and Technology, 2017
Tomato is considered as a member of the family Solanaceae. The botanical name of tomato is Lycopersicon esculentum Mill and is a diploid plant with 2n=2x=24 chromosomes. Great advances in tomato genetics have been achievable because of the understanding of mating systems and the possibility of controlled hybridization within and among species, the ...

Komponente prinosa kultivara determinantne rajčice (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)

open access: yesAgriculturae Conspectus Scientificus, 2000
Field experiments with five determinate tomato hybrid cultivars (Balca, Sultan, Reword, Dublet and Serdika) were carried out on two locations (Imotski and Trogir) in 1996 and 1998. There was one planting date in Imotski, May 27, and two planting dates in Trogir, May 13 and July 12 within both years of investigation. Growing technology on black PE-mulch

A cytogenetic study of asynapsis in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)

open access: yesJournal of Genetics, 1962
1. Data from F1, F2, and F3 generations indicate that asynapsis seen in PMC in a Marglobe plant of tomato was genetically controlled. 2. The segregation for asynapsis in F2 was not monogenic. Asynapsis in a F3 generation raised from selfing an asynaptic F2 plant was variable and did not affect all the plants.

Capítulo XII: control genético del carácter número de frutos por planta y sus componentes en un cruzamiento dialélico entre cultivares de tomate "chonto", Lycopersicon esculentum Mill

open access: yesActa Agronómica, 1994
<p>Genetic analysis for fruits per plant, clusters per plant and fruits per cluster characters was carried out using a diallel crossing between seven "chonto" tornato cultivars (Angela Gigante, Licapal-21, Raminho, Olho Roxo, 1258, 1465 and 1507 ...
