Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Contribution of the immune bone marrow microenvironment to tumor growth and bone deconstruction: implications for improving immunotherapeutic strategies in bone metastasis

open access: yesNeoplasia: An International Journal for Oncology Research
Bone metastases are frequent complications of many solid tumors, leading to painful skeletal morbidities and increasing mortality for patients with advanced cancer.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Carcinome métaplasique du sein : à propos d’un cas

open access: yesAvicenna Medical Research
Le carcinome métaplasique du sein est une tumeur maligne primaire rare et agressive, représentant 0,2- 5% de tous les cancers du sein. Cette tumeur maligne est caractérisée par la présence histologique d'au moins deux types cellulaires, généralement ...

Synergistic effect between denosumab and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI)? A retrospective study of 268 patients with ICI and bone metastases

open access: yesJournal of Bone Oncology
Background: Bone metastasis is a significant concern in advanced solid tumors, contributing to diminished patient survival and quality of life due to skeletal-related events (SREs). Denosumab (DMAB), a monoclonal antibody targeting the receptor activator

Des métastases osseuses d'un mélanome malin détectées sur une TEP au 18F-FDG avec scintigraphie du squelette normale

open access: yesThe Pan African Medical Journal, 2017

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
