CRISPR and biochemical screens identify MAZ as a cofactor in CTCF-mediated insulation at Hox clusters

open access: yesNature Genetics, 2022
CCCTC-binding factor (CTCF) is critical to three-dimensional genome organization. Upon differentiation, CTCF insulates active and repressed genes within Hox gene clusters.

TBK1 promotes thyroid cancer progress by activating the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease, 2023
Introduction Thyroid cancer has received increasing attention; however, its detailed pathogenesis and pathological processes remain unclear. We investigated the role of TANK‐binding kinase 1 (TBK1) in the progression of thyroid cancer.

Assessing the Productivity of the Direct Conversion of Methane-to-Methanol over Copper-Exchanged Zeolite Omega (MAZ) via Oxygen Looping.

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, 2023
The methane-to-methanol (MtM) conversion via the oxygen looping approach using copper-exchanged zeolites has been extensively studied over the last decade. While a lot of research has focussed on maximizing yield and selectivity, little has been directed

The Myc-associated zinc finger protein (MAZ) works together with CTCF to control cohesin positioning and genome organization

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, 2021
Significance The protein CTCF plays a major role in large-scale organization of the genome. Binding sites for the protein MAZ are found adjacent to many CTCF sites. We show that, at such double sites, MAZ stabilizes CTCF binding.
