A method for calculating nucleon-nucleon scattering observable

open access: yes四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2020
M-matrix parameterization is a method to calculate nucleon-nucleon elastic scattering observable. The M-matrix can be parameterized as 5 scattering amplitudes because of symmetry and observables can be calculated from these amplitudes.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Erasure Recovery Matrices for Data Erasures and Rearrangements

open access: yesMathematics
When studying signal reconstruction, the frames are often selected in advance as encoding tools. However, in practical applications, this encoding frame may be subject to attacks by intermediaries and generate errors. To solve this problem, in this paper,

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

On an inequality for the Hadamard product of an M-matrix and its inverse

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2000
Let \(A=[a_{jk}]\) be an \(n\times n\) \(M\)-matrix whose inverse is doubly stochastic. Then \[ q(A\circ A^{-1})\geq 2\max a_{kk}/(n \max a_{kk}-n+1), \] where \(\circ\) denotes the Hadamard product, \(q(B)=1/p(B^{-1})\) and \(p(C)\) is the Perron eigenvalue of a nonnegative matrix \(C\).

Weakening the nuclear envelope: Lamin B receptor in melanoma metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LBR‐driven nuclear fragility supports melanoma invasion. A: Melanocyte presents low LBR (Lamin B Receptor) levels, maintaining nuclear integrity and lamina‐chromatin tethering. B: During malignant progression, upregulation of LBR clusters at the INM (Inner Nuclear Membrane) during confined migration causes local lamina weakening and cholesterol ...

Bivalent virus-like particles expressing SPECT1 and CSP trigger pre-erythrocytic malaria immunity and protect against transgenic Plasmodium falciparum sporozoite challenge in mice

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
IntroductionThe decline in protective antibody titers and efficacy over time of the circumsporozoite protein (CSP)-based RTS,S/AS01 and R21/Matrix-M vaccines highlights the need for improved vaccines.

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.
