Roles of PknB and CslA in Cell Wall Morphogenesis of Streptomyces
Molecular Microbiology, EarlyView.Streptomyces grow by extending hyphal tips, a process regulated by polarisome complexes anchored by DivIVA. Using a genetic screen based on toxic DivIVA overproduction, we identified the kinase PknB as a key regulator of cell envelope construction.
