Optimization of Herbicidin A Production in Submerged Culture of Streptomyces scopuliridis M40
Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2017 Herbicidin A is a potent herbicide against dicotyledonous plants as well as an antibiotic against phytopathogens. In this study, fermentation parameters for herbicidin A production in submerged culture of Streptomyces scopuliridis M40 were investigated. The herbicidin A concentration varied with the C/N ratio.

ChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 13, 14 July 2026.Motif‐level engineering of acyltransferase domains in polyketide synthases enables programable extender unit selectivity. Cooperative mutations and motif exchanges reprogram substrate preference, enabling the incorporation of non‐native extender units and expanding polyketide structural diversity, with gains in activity and product yield.
