Synthesis and Structure of Macrolactams of 3α‐Aminodeoxycholanic Acid
European Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2006AbstractThe macrolactams cyclo(3α‐aminodeoxycholic amide)2 (1) and cyclo(3α‐aminodeoxycholic amide)3 (2) were prepared in high yields (1: 32 %; 2: 41 %) from the pentafluorophenyl esters of the linear precursors. The solid‐state structures of both macrocycles were determined by X‐ray diffraction.

A linear route leads to precursors that are subsequently macrocyclized in a separate step.

A new macrolactam derivative from the marine actinomycete HF-11225
The Journal of Antibiotics, 2018A new macrolactam derivative, designated as nivelactam B (1), was isolated from the fermentation broth of marine-derived actinomycete HF-11225. Its structure was determined on the basis of spectroscopic analysis, including 1D and 2D NMR techniques, as well as ESI-MS and comparison with data from the literature.

Structurally Diverse Macrolactams from an Antarctic Streptomyces Species
Journal of Natural ProductsTwelve new polyenic macrolactams, cyclamenols G-R (1 and 3-13), together with the known analogue cyclamenol A (2), were isolated from Streptomyces sp. OUCMDZ-4348. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis, quantum chemical calculations, chemical derivatizations, and Mosher's methods.
