Effects of foscarnet on the cell kinetics of Madin-Darby canine kidney cells
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Molecular Cell Research, 1983The antiherpes compound, foscarnet (trisodium phosphonoformate), showed concentration-dependent effects on the cell kinetics of Madin-Darby canine kidney cells. At 1 mM, only minor effects could be seen on cell proliferation and cell cycle distribution, as measured by flow cytometry DNA analysis.

Ultrastructural study of Crytosporidium development in Madin-Darby canine kidney cells
Veterinary Parasitology, 1993Transmission electron microscope studies have been made into phases of the life cycle of a bovine isolate of Cryptosporidium cultured in vitro on Madin-Darby canine kidney cells. The cytoplasm of parasitized cells was noticeably altered, including marked vacuolization and the appearance of membrane structures close to the developing parasites.

Secretion of proteases in serglycin transfected Madin–Darby canine kidney cells
The FEBS Journal, 2006Madin–Darby canine kidney (MDCK) cells, which do not normally express the proteoglycan (PG) serglycin, were stably transfected with cDNA for human serglycin fused to a polyhistidine tag (His‐tag). Clones with different levels of serglycin mRNA expression were generated.

During control conditions mimicking in vivo situation, PD averages -50.3 +/- 0.7 mV.
