Magnetic Tunnel Junction Applications [PDF]

open access: yesSensors, 2019
Spin-based devices can reduce energy leakage and thus increase energy efficiency. They have been seen as an approach to overcoming the constraints of CMOS downscaling, specifically, the Magnetic Tunnel Junction (MTJ) which has been the focus of much ...

Development and Research of a Theoretical Model of the Magnetic Tunnel Junction [PDF]

open access: yesSensors, 2021
Spin-dependent tunneling structures are widely used in many spintronic devices and sensors. This paper describes the magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) characteristics caused by the inhomogeneous magnetic field of ferromagnetic layers.

Double MgO-Based Perpendicular Magnetic Tunnel Junction for Artificial Neuron [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2020
A perpendicular spin transfer torque (p-STT)-based neuron was developed for a spiking neural network (SNN). It demonstrated the integration behavior of a typical neuron in an SNN; in particular, the integration behavior corresponding to magnetic ...

Two-dimensional magnetic tunnel p-n junctions for low-power electronics [PDF]

open access: yesNature Communications
For decades, semiconductors and their heterostructures have underpinned both fundamental and applied research across all areas of electronics. Two-dimensional, 2D (atomically thin) semiconductors have now the potential to push further the miniaturization

Observation of magnetic droplets in magnetic tunnel junctions [PDF]

open access: yesScience China Physics, Mechanics & Astronomy, 2021
AbstractMagnetic droplets, a class of highly nonlinear magnetodynamic solitons, can be nucleated and stabilized in nanocontact spin-torque nano-oscillators. Here we experimentally demonstrate magnetic droplets in magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs). The droplet nucleation is accompanied by power enhancement compared with its ferromagnetic resonance modes.
