Development of a Cost Optimal Predictive Maintenance Strategy

open access: yes
Maintenance costs account for a significant share of operating expenses. Selecting the optimal maintenance strategy for each application is crucial to optimize operational processes and minimize MRO spending.

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Enterprise level maintenance strategy selection an empirical model

open access: yes, 2009
Maintenance plays a significant role in increasing the overall profit of an organization. However, the lack of efficient maintenance strategy selection procedures causes the operating costs to increase thereby decreasing the organizational profit.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Maintenance Strategy Evaluation Using ANP and Goal Programming

open access: yes, 2011
An optimal maintenance strategy mix is necessary for increasing availability and reliability levels of production facilities without significantly increasing operational costs.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Selection of maintenance strategy, using analytical hierarchy process [Elektronisk resurs]

open access: yes, 2009
Selection of appropriate maintenance strategy is key to economic viability of aviation and manufacturing industries. The study discusses and presents an approach to facilitate the selection of the most appropriate maintenance strategy on the basis of the

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Optimisation of bridge maintenance strategy and cost considering whole life costs and carbon emissions

open access: yes
This paper describes the optimisation of bridge maintenance strategy and cost, utilising a Structures Asset Valuation and Investment (SAVI) tool and considering whole life costs, traffic delays and carbon emissions arising from the bridge maintenance ...
