STING/Type I Interferon Pathway Activation Confers Multimodal Therapeutic Benefits in Osteomyelitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
STING/type I interferon signaling counteracts osteomyelitis through coordinated control of pain, bone destruction, and abscess formation. It inhibits pathogen‐induced nociceptor activation, restrains osteoclast‐mediated bone resorption, and suppresses IL‐1β‐driven neutrophil recruitment.

Restores Aβ Clearance by Overcoming PCSK9–LRP1 Dysregulation and TRIB3‐Mediated Autophagy Blockade in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PCSK9 upregulation in cerebrovascular endothelial cells and microglia destabilizes the Aβ transporter LRP1, while TRIB3‐associated autophagy blockade further limits intracellular Aβ degradation. A RAP‐modified tea‐polyphenol nanoparticle co‐delivers siPCSK9 and siTRIB3 to restore LRP1‐mediated Aβ efflux and autophagy‐dependent degradation, reducing Aβ ...

Oral Recombinant Human Collagen III Protects Gastric Mucosa via G‐Quadruplex‐Mediated Activation of the Pla2g4a‐Prostaglandin Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Orally administered recombinant human type III collagen protects the gastric mucosa from ethanol‐induced injury by coordinating redox homeostasis, epithelial barrier repair, and arachidonic acid–prostaglandin metabolism. Gastric digestion releases the pentapeptide GPAEF, which interacts with the Pla2g4a promoter G‐quadruplex in a structure‐dependent ...

Amyloidosis in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and 1‐Year Cardiovascular and Renal Outcomes: A Propensity Score–Matched Cohort Study

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease
Background Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) has been recognized as a potential early manifestation of systemic amyloidosis; however, its prognostic implications for cardiovascular and renal outcomes remain unclear.

Metabolic syndrome with mortality and major adverse cardiovascular events in an elderly population

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
BackgroundCardiovascular disease (CVD) remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality globally, with metabolic syndrome (MS) being a significant contributor to major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). While the relationship between MS and CVD is well established, limited studies have focused on elderly populations, particularly in the context of
