As the incidence of testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs) rises, prenatal exposure to agricultural pesticides may represent an important risk factor. Here, geographic information system‐based measures of farmland proximity at birth were used as a proxy for early‐life pesticide exposure in France, a major pesticide consumer.

Bt agave: why it is time to explore a new biotechnological frontier
Drylands cover 41% of Earth, requiring sustainable crops. Agave, drought‐ and heat‐adapted, offers high‐value products with low water needs. Pests limit yield, yet Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) Cry proteins, successful in other plants, remain unexploited in Agave.

ABSTRACT This study assessed the ecotoxicological effects of treated sewage on the freshwater planarian Girardia tigrina, integrating biochemical, energetic, and behavioral biomarkers. Planarians were exposed for 48 h to different concentrations of treated sewage (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 100%) and compared to controls using commercial water and water from

Abstract A nonaqueous copper colorimetric procedure has been developed for the assay of technical and formulated products of malathion. The stability of the copper O,O-dimethyl phosphorodithioate complex has been substantially improved by the use of nonpolar solvents and by lowering the hydrogen ion activity of the system.
