Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Small RNA pathways in mammalian oocytes
Three distinct small RNA pathways operate in mammalian oocytes: RNAi interference (RNAi), the microRNA (miRNA) pathway, and the PIWI‐associated RNA (piRNA) pathway. These pathways use small RNAs to guide sequence‐specific repression and contribute to oocyte biology by targeting genes and mobile elements or appear insignificant since different ...

The Genetics of Androgen Receptor Signalling in Male Fertility
The androgen testosterone has an essential trophic role in the development of male physiology and in adult spermatogenesis and fertility. Testosterone mainly exerts its effect through the androgen receptor (AR), a ligand-Activated transcription factor ...

The fertility of hypothyroid male mice [PDF]
Summary. Male mice homozygous for the hypothyroid gene mutation were compared with normal siblings to determine whether hypothyroidism induced infertility by impairing sexual behaviour. In addition, the fertility of the hypothyroid mice was examined. The experimental results provide unequivocal evidence that genetically-induced hypothyroidism in male ...

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.
