Enhanced malic acid production using Aspergillus niger coupled with in situ product recovery.

Bioresource Technology, 2020
In the present investigation, recovery of malic acid from the fermentation broth was performed by using in situ reactive extraction method employing different combination of amine and solvent systems. Totally six solvent mixtures were tested for toxicity

Renewable malic acid-based plasticizers for both PVC and PLA polymers

, 2020
Acetylated malic acid alkyl esters (AcMAE-Cn) with different alkyl chain lengths, as alternative plasticizers for both poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) and poly(lactic acid) (PLA), were synthesized by the esterification of renewable malic acid with alcohols ...

Effect of dietary protease at different levels of malic acid on growth, digestive enzymes and haemato-immunological responses of Nile tilapia, fed fish meal free diets

, 2020
This study evaluated the dose response to dietary exogenous protease enzyme or malic acid inclusion in plant-based diets on the growth, digestive enzymes and haemato-immunological indices in Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus. Nine isonitrogenous (293 g

Preservation of lipids with malic acid

Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1970
AbstractThis paper deals with an evaluation of malic acid in a number of different lipids of animal and vegetable origin under comparable conditions. An Active Oxygen Method was used, with citric acid as the standard of comparison. In most cases, the performance of the acids was determined in the presence and absence of added iron salts and ...

Structures of l-lactic acid chloralide, d-malic acid chloralide and l-malic acid chloralide

Journal of Molecular Structure, 1997
Abstract The crystal and molecular structures of l -lactic acid chloralide and l -malic acid chloralide have been determined by X-ray diffraction methods. l -lactic acid chloralide crystallises in the monoclinic space group, p2 1 , a =7.650 (3), b =5.856 (2), c =9.808 (4) ′, β =99.64 (3)°, Z =2.

D-Malic acid production from DL-malic acid by microbial assimilation of L-malic acd: Screening of microrganism

Biotechnology Techniques, 1993
Several microorganisms including Pseudomonas fluorescens, Ps. putida, Bacillus megaterium, Acinetobacter Iwofii, Klebsiella oxytoca, K. pneumoniae, Serratia rubidaea and Bulleromyces albus were selected for the ability to assimilate specifically L-malic acid. D-Malic acid with high optical purity (>90%) was obtained from the culture broth.

Optically active poly (\-malic-acid)

Polymer Bulletin, 1985
A simple and reproducible method of synthesizing enantiomers of benzyl malolactonate is described starting from optically active aspartic acid. Chiral benzyl malolactonate is a β-substituted β-lactone monomer which can be readily polymerized anionically using triethylamine as the initiator to yield poly(benzyl β-malate) which is an optically active ...
