Barley and Malt in the Middle Age and Early Modern Period in Czech Lands
The history of the barley use as a raw material for malt- and beer production in middle ages and early modern era was still in the environment of the czech lands constructed solely on the basis of archival records and historical pictures. Less importance

Evaluation of electrolyzed water to control fungal trunk pathogens in grapevine nurseries
Electrolyzed water treatments could have promising applications in the grapevine nursery process to prevent or reduce infections caused by fungal trunk pathogens on grapevine propagation material. Abstract BACKGROUND Grapevine producers demand solutions to control fungal trunk pathogens (FTPs) in nurseries.

Utilizing the 3‐(N,N‐dimethylamino)propyl (DMP) ligand, the new liquid Ge(IV) precursor [Ge(DMP)4] has been developed, which possesses adequate volatility, reactivity, and exceptional thermal stability. This precursor is capable of low‐temperature processing of GeO2 and GeOx with tunable film composition and sub‐nm thickness control in a range from 40 ...

La représentation dans le cadre de la composition et de la musicologie assistées par ordinateur & Parcours de recherche et création [PDF]
It’s clear that it is possible to make music with music instruments, but it seems much less obvious to talk and/or communicate about it with the same instruments. Thus, we always needed to rely on the use of natural language and develop a large number of

Candidozyma cisalpinoae sp. nov. represents a distinct species within the Candidozyma clade, supported by multilocus phylogeny, genome‐scale metrics, and phenotypic traits. Although isolated from floral substrates, this species displays several traits commonly associated with opportunistic pathogenic yeasts.

Moderate retention forestry creates structurally sharp forest edges that act as ecological filters, shaping orientation‐specific activity of ground‐dwelling arthropods. Using drift‐fence pitfall traps, we show that activity aligned with ecotones is more frequent than activity across forest–clearcut boundaries, particularly among detritivores.

Effect of the microbiome on pathogen susceptibility across four Drosophilidae species
Four Drosophilidae species were used to investigate how variation in the host microbiome influences susceptibility to infection. Microbial composition and abundance differed among species and treatments. The effects of microbiome manipulation on host survival were both species‐ and pathogen‐specific.

Development of image analysis methods to evaluate barley / malt grain size [PDF]
It is known that the barley / malt grain size is an important factor regarding the uniformity of malting process and hence the brewery process. For that purpose an image processing and analysis system was built for the evaluation of grain / malt size ...

Methodologies for the early detection of Phyllosticta citricarpa in air and rainwater samples were developed and applied over three consecutive years (2018–2021) in four European citrus sites, previously reported to harbour the pathogen. Phyllosticta citricarpa was not detected in plant, air, or rainwater samples, and no CBS symptoms were observed on ...
