Optimal Tracking of Maneuvering Targets

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1973
Maneuvering target motion is modeled by introducing a binary random variable in the target state equation. The optimal estimate is shown to be a weighted combination of two Kalman filter estimates with weights depending on the likelihood ratio for the detection of a maneuver. A tracking scheme is proposed for maneuvering target tracking and illustrated

An Efficient Algorithm for Tracking Multiple Maneuvering Targets

Proceedings of the 44th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2006
Tracking multiple maneuvering targets in a cluttered environment is a challenging problem. A combination of interacting multiple model (IMM) and joint probabilistic data association (JPDA) has been successfully applied to track multiple maneuvering targets.

Maneuvering frequency adaptive algorithm of maneuvering target tracking

2013 Fourth International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing (ICICIP), 2013
The current statistical model is one of most effective method for maneuvering target tracking. It's the mean acceleration model and it reflects the variation of target's maneuvering rang and the intensity more practically . However, the frequency of maneuvering α , which represents the variation of target maneuvering, needs to be predefined and it won ...

Target visibility for multiple maneuvering target tracking

SPIE Proceedings, 2015
We present a recursion of the probability of target visibility and its applications to analysis of track life and termination in the context of Global Nearest Neighbour (GNN) approach and Probability Hypothesis Density (PHD) filter. In the presence of uncertainties brought about by clutter; decisions to retain a track, terminate it or initialise a new ...

Unscented Fuzzy Tracking Algorithm for Maneuvering Target

2005
A novel adaptive algorithm for tracking maneuvering targets is proposed in this paper. The algorithm is implemented with fuzzy filtering and unscented transformation. A fuzzy system allows the filter to tune the magnitude of maximum accelerations to adapt to different target maneuvers.

Multisensor tracking of a maneuvering target in clutter

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1989
An algorithm is presented for tracking a highly maneuvering target using two different sensors, a radar and an infrared sensor, assumed to operate in a cluttered environment. The nonparametric probabilist data association filter (PDAF) has been adapted for the multisensor (MS) case, yielding the MSPDAF.

Tracking a Maneuvering Target Using Neural Fuzzy Network

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, Part B (Cybernetics), 2002
A fast target maneuver detecting and highly accurate tracking technique using a neural fuzzy network based on Kalman filter is proposed in this paper. In the automatic target tracking system, there exists an important and difficult problem: how to detect the target maneuvers and fast response to avoid miss-tracking?

Maneuvering Target Tracking in the Presence of Glint

2006 IEEE 24th Convention of Electrical & Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2006
The problem of maneuvering target tracking in the presence of glint noise is addressed in this paper. The main challenge in this problem stems from its nonlinearity and non-Gaussianity. In this work, the nonlinear Gaussian mixture Kalman filter (NL-GMKF) is applied to the problem of maneuvering target tracking in the presence of glint. The algorithm is

Maneuvering Target Tracking in the Case of Wakes

2009 2nd International Congress on Image and Signal Processing, 2009
An interacting multiple model probability data association method for tracking the wake target is presented. When the detections are fed to a tracking system like the Probabilistic Data Association Filter, the estimated track can be misled and sometimes lose the real target because of the wake.
