Generalized Bertrand Curves of Non-Light-like Framed Curves in Lorentz–Minkowski 3-Space

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we define the generalized Bertrand curves of non-light-like framed curves in Lorentz–Minkowski 3-space; their study is essential for understanding many classical and modern physics problems.

A super massive black hole binary in 3C66B: future observational perspectives

open access: yes, 2004
Supermassive black hole binaries (SMBHBs) may exist in the centers of galaxies and active galactic nuclei (AGN) and are expected to be fairly common in the Universe as a consequence of merging processes between galaxies.

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Astrophysical Evidence for the Non-Hermitian but $PT$-symmetric Hamiltonian of Conformal Gravity

open access: yes, 2012
In this review we discuss the connection between two seemingly disparate topics, macroscopic gravity on astrophysical scales and Hamiltonians that are not Hermitian but $PT$ symmetric on microscopic ones. In particular we show that the quantum-mechanical

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Mannheim B-Curves in the Euclidean 3-Space E^3

open access: yesKuwait Journal of Science, 2017
In this study we have defined Mannheim curves according to a Bishop frame and called Mannheim B-curves in the Euclidean 3-space E^3. Then the relations have been found between the Bishop and Frenet vectors of these curves and some conditions have been ...

Some integral curves according to quasi-frame in Euclidean 3-space

open access: yesScientific African
This study explores integral curves associated with the quasi-frame in three-dimensional Euclidean space. We focus specifically on the quasi-normal and quasi-binormal vectors.

Fitting galactic rotation curves with conformal gravity and a global quadratic potential

open access: yes, 2012
We apply the conformal gravity theory to a sample of 111 spiral galaxies whose rotation curve data points extend well beyond the optical disk. With no free parameters other than galactic mass to light ratios, the theory is able to account for the ...

Patterns of Postictal Abnormalities in Relation to Status Epilepticus in Adults

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Abnormalities on peri‐ictal diffusion‐weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI‐PMAs) are well‐established for patients with status epilepticus (SE), but knowledge on patterns of DWI‐PMAs and their prognostic impact is sparse. Methods This systematic review and individual participant data meta‐analysis included observational studies ...
