Microenvironmental Reprogramming by 3D Anisotropic Cardiac Extracellular Matrix Induces Nuclear Remodeling and Epigenetic Maturation of Chemically Induced Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

On the quaternionic Mannheim curves of Aw(k)-type in Euclidean space E3

open access: yesKuwait Journal of Science, 2015
In this paper, we consider that the curvature conditions of Aw(k)-type (1≤ k ≤ 3) quaternioniccurves in Euclidean space E3 and investigates quaternionic Mannheim curves α:I →Q withk ≠ 0 and r ≠ 0 .

Osculating Mate of a Curve in Minkowski 3-Space

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we introduce and develop the concept of osculating curve pairs in the three-dimensional Minkowski space. By defining a vector lying in the intersection of osculating planes of two non-lightlike curves, we characterize osculating mates ...

Light deflection in Weyl gravity: critical distances for photon paths

open access: yes, 2004
The Weyl gravity appears to be a very peculiar theory. The contribution of the Weyl linear parameter to the effective geodesic potential is opposite for massive and nonmassive geodesics.

Purpose‐Adaptable Reinforced 3D Hyaluronic‐Acid Based Platform to Study Pathomechanisms of the Central Nervous System

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Platform system to create biofabricated 3D spinal cord tissue models: Combining high resolution PCL fiber placement, a customized, hyaluronic acid‐based hydrogel, two cell types (spinal cord neurons and astrocytes) together with three distinct laminin isoforms allow the formation of functional cell–cell network interactions.

Genetic Control of Tissue Remodeling by a Non‐Coding SNP in ITGA8 Explains Carotenoid‐Based Color Polymorphism in Marine Mollusks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, the orange‐muscle giant abalone (Haliotis gigantea) is used as a model to identify a non‐coding SNP that disrupts the interaction between ITGA8 pre‐mRNA and the splicing factor ILF2, leading to altered ITGA8 splicing. These splicing changes promote carotenoid accumulation in abalone muscle through the regulation of tissue remodeling ...

Comparison of Accuracy between Mannheim Peritonitis Index and Jabalpur Score in Predicting the Mortality in Perforative Peritonitis Patients Presenting for Emergency Surgery at a Tertiary Care Setup of Eastern India

open access: yesCHRISMED Journal of Health and Research
Background and Objective: Peritonitis following hollow viscus perforation is commonly encountered in surgical emergency, which needs prompt and aggressive management. Unlike foreign nations, no score is routinely used in most tertiary medical colleges of

Microbial Odorant Detection Guides Drosophila Parasitoids Seeking Hosts in Fermenting Fruits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Yeast microbes in fermenting fruits attract both host flies and their parasitoid wasps. Female Leptopilina boulardi detect yeast‐emitted ethyl esters via two olfactory receptors, LbouOR167 and LbouOR136. A conserved residue, Leu159, is critical for binding these compounds, enabling female wasps to locate host‐rich habitats.

Mannheim Curves in 3-Dimensional Euclidean Space

open access: yesInternational Scientific and Vocational Studies Journal, 2020
In this paper, we consider the Mannheim curve and the slant helix together. We called this curve as a Mannheim slant helix shortly. First we calculate the (first) curvature 𝜿(𝒔), and the curvature of the tangent indicatrix of the Mannheim curve, in terms of the arc-lenght parameter of the curve.

On generalized null Mannheim curves in Minkowski space-time

open access: yesPublications de l'Institut Mathematique, 2016
We define generalized null Mannheim curves in Minkowski space-time and characterize them and their generalized Mannheim mate curves in terms of curvature functions, and obtain relations between their frames. We provide examples of such curves.
