A Chemically Defined Four‐Component Self‐Adjuvanting Tn Vaccine Activating Mincle, FcγR, and CD206 for Enhanced Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fully synthetic four‐component vaccine has been developed combining Tn antigen, vizantin (Mincle agonist), rhamnose (antibody recruitment), and mannose (CD206 targeting). By synergistically activating Mincle, FcγR, and CD206 pathways, it elicits strong IgG switching and cytotoxic T‐cells, significantly inhibiting tumors in mice.

Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of immunostimulating mannosylated desmuramyl peptides

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2019
Muramyl dipeptide is the minimal structure of peptidoglycan with adjuvant properties. Replacement of the N-acetylmuramyl moiety and increase of lipophilicity are important approaches in the preparation of muramyl dipeptide analogues with improved ...

Macrophage Phenotype Detection Methodology on Textured Surfaces via Nuclear Morphology Using Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
A novel machine learning approach classifies macrophage phenotypes with up to 98% accuracy using only nuclear morphology from DAPI‐stained images. Bypassing traditional surface markers, the method proves robust even on complex textured biomaterial surfaces. It offers a simpler, faster alternative for studying macrophage behavior in various experimental

Research progress on biomarkers of traumatic brain injury

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Traumatic brain injury: From primary insult to secondary neuroinflammation and degeneration. Abstract Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a common disorder of the nervous system and has become a leading cause of death and disability worldwide, imposing a substantial burden on patients and their social circles. Its main symptoms include dyskinesia, language

Effects of .ALPHA.-D-mannose and equilibrated D-mannose on insulin release.

open access: yesEndocrinologia Japonica, 1978
The effects on insulin release of alpha-D-mannose and equilibrated D-mannose were studied in the isolated perfused rat pancreas. Although phosphomannose isomerase, in contrast to phosphoglucose isomerase, is stereospecific for beta-D-mannose-6-phosphate, the alpha anomer of D-mannose (2 mg/ml) was significantly more effective than equilibrated D ...

Mannose-binding lectin 2 (Mbl2) gene polymorphisms are related to protein plasma levels, but not to heart disease and infection by Chlamydia

open access: yes, 2016
The presence of the single nucleotide polymorphisms in exon 1 of the mannose-binding lectin 2 (MBL2) gene was evaluated in a sample of 159 patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery (71 patients undergoing valve replacement surgery and 300 ...

Genetic‐Proteomic Integration Identifies Predictive Plasma Proteins for Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Multiple sclerosis (MS) develops after a prolonged preclinical phase. Identifying circulating biomarkers that capture this early biology can improve risk stratification and guide intervention. We aimed to identify plasma proteins driving MS susceptibility using large‐scale proteogenomic integration and to evaluate their prediagnostic ...

Causal effects of human serum metabolites on occurrence and progress indicators of chronic kidney disease: a two-sample Mendelian randomization study

open access: yesFrontiers in Nutrition
BackgroundChronic kidney disease (CKD) is often accompanied by alterations in the metabolic profile of the body, yet the causative role of these metabolic changes in the onset of CKD remains a subject of ongoing debate.

Enhancement of polysaccharides accumulation in Dendrobium officinale by exogenously applied methyl jasmonate

open access: yesBiologia Plantarum, 2017
The accumulation of polysaccharides, activities of sucrose metabolism enzymes, and the expression of sucrose biosynthetic genes in Dendrobium officinale were significantly affected by exogenous methyl jasmonate (MeJA).

Mannose-Integrated Nanoparticle Hitchhike Glucose Transporter 1 Recycling to Overcome Various Barriers of Oral Delivery for Alzheimer’s Disease Therapy

open access: yes
A brain-targeting nanodelivery system has been a hot topic and has undergone rapid progression. However, due to various obstacles such as the intestinal epithelial barrier (IEB) and the blood-brain barrier (BBB), few nanocarriers can achieve brain ...
