A Bluetooth/PDR Integration Algorithm for an Indoor Positioning System

open access: yesSensors, 2015
This paper proposes two schemes for indoor positioning by fusing Bluetooth beacons and a pedestrian dead reckoning (PDR) technique to provide meter-level positioning without additional infrastructure.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

MAP-MATCHING IN COMPLEX URBAN ROAD NETWORKS

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Cartografia, 2009
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) such as GPS and digital road maps can be used for land vehicle navigation systems. However, GPS requires a level of augmentation with other navigation sensors and systems such as Dead Reckoning (DR) devices, in ...

Low-complexity online correction and calibration of pedestrian dead reckoning using map matching and GPS

open access: yesGeo-spatial Information Science, 2019
Dead Reckoning is a relative positioning scheme that is used to infer the change of position relative to a point of origin by measuring the traveled distance and orientation change. Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR) applies this concept to walking persons.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

A Novel Map-Based Dead-Reckoning Algorithm for Indoor Localization

open access: yesJournal of Sensor and Actuator Networks, 2014
Step counting-based dead-reckoning has been widely accepted as a cheap and effective solution for indoor pedestrian tracking using a hand-held device equipped with motion sensors.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

AC-HMM: azimuth-constrained hidden Markov model-based map matching for robust pedestrian positioning in urban canyons

open access: yesGeo-spatial Information Science
Location-Based Services (LBS) have become integral to contemporary urban life, with Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) modules in smart devices serving as the primary geospatial data source.

Correcting Inertial Dead Reckoning Location Using Collision Avoidance Velocity-Based Map Matching

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
We propose an algorithm for map-aided inertial dead reckoning (DR) for indoor navigation. The technique is based on a concept of collision avoidance velocity.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.
