Identification and quantification of soundscape components in the Marginal Ice Zone [PDF]
Acoustic experiments using an integrated ice station were carried out during August 2012 and September 2013 in the Marginal Ice Zone (MIZ) of Fram Strait. The two experiments lasted four days each and collected under-ice acoustic recordings together with wave-in-ice and meteorological data.

Reconstructing ice dynamics in the central sector of the last British-Irish Ice Sheet [PDF]
The central sector (NW England and Scottish borders) of the last British-Irish Ice Sheet exhibits a palimpsest glacial geological and geomorphological signature characteristic of multi-phase ice flow and ice-marginal fluctuations. Despite its influential

Electric field‑driven continuous gradient hydrogel GHZF4 achieves spatiotemporal growth factor release, modulates immune microenvironment, angiogenesis and osteochondral differentiation. It realizes cell‑free functional osteochondral repair in rat/rabbit models, offering a promising biomimetic strategy for gradient tissue regeneration.

Polydopamine nanoparticles enable a precise, non‐genetic, and transcranial neuromodulation strategy via near‐infrared photothermal stimulation. By activating TRPV1 channels, this approach specifically enhances hippocampal gamma oscillations, thereby rescuing spatial memory deficits in models of perioperative neurocognitive disorder.

Two-Dimensional Wave Interaction with a Rigid Body Floating near the Marginal Ice Zone
The interaction problem of waves with a body floating near the marginal ice zone is studied, where the marginal ice zone is modeled as an array of multiple uniformly sized floating ice sheets.

Gap‐Free Information Transfer in 4D‐STEM via Fusion of Complementary Scattering Channels
Fused Full‐Field STEM (FF‐STEM) is introduced as a 4D‐STEM imaging modality that combines direct ptychography with tilt‐corrected dark‐field reconstruction in a single acquisition. Fourier‐space fusion using Wiener‐type spectral weighting closes the low‐frequency contrast gap inherent to bright‐field methods, delivering gap‐free, dose‐efficient, near ...

Seismic exploration noise reduction in the Marginal Ice Zone [PDF]
A sonobuoy field was deployed in the Marginal Ice Zone of the Fram Strait in June 2011 to study the spatial variability of ambient noise. High noise levels observed at 10–200 Hz are attributed to distant (1400 km range) seismic exploration. The noise levels decreased with range into the ice cover; the reduction is fitted by a spreading loss model with ...

Furrow tillage resolves the conventional‐vs.‐no‐tillage trade‐off by simultaneously cutting CO2 efflux to 2.0–3.0 g C m−2 d−1 and unlocking high nutrient availability for the rice rhizosphere. This scalable agronomic solution strengthens soil health, enhances plant physiology, reshapes microbial metabolism, and shifts paddy systems toward a net ...
