Anisotropic magnetoresistance in a 2DEG in a quasi-random magnetic field
We present magnetotransport results for a 2D electron gas (2DEG) subject to the quasi-random magnetic field produced by randomly positioned sub-micron Co dots deposited onto the surface of a GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructure.

ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.

Effect of edge transmission and elastic scattering on the resistance of magnetic barriers
Strong magnetic barriers are defined in two-dimensional electron gases by magnetizing dysprosium ferromagnetic platelets on top of a Ga[Al]As heterostructure. A small resistance across the barrier is observed even deep inside the closed regime.

ABSTRACT The pediatric hematology‐oncology fellowship training curriculum has not substantially changed since its inception. The first year of training is clinically focused, and the second and third years are devoted to scholarship. However, this current structure leaves many fellows less competitive in the current job market, resulting in ...

Lipid composition of normal human bone marrow as determined by column chromatography*
The composition of the lipids of normal human bone marrow has been determined. Marrows were obtained post-mortem from the femurs of 12 subjects ranging in age from 1 to 78 years. The total extractable lipid, which varied from 28% to 84% of the tissue wet

ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Osteosarcoma is a radioresistant tumor that may benefit from stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for locoregional control in metastatic/recurrent disease. We report institutional practice patterns, outcomes, toxicity, and failures in osteosarcoma patients treated with SBRT.

Ballistic transport in random magnetic fields with anisotropic long-ranged correlations [PDF]
We present exact theoretical results about energetic and dynamic properties of a spinless charged quantum particle on the Euclidean plane subjected to a perpendicular random magnetic field of Gaussian type with non-zero mean.

Extensive bone marrow necrosis is an unusual histologic finding most commonly identified after autopsy. We describe a patient with poorly differentiated lymphocytic lymphoma who manifested pancytopenia and marrow necrosis. Bone marrow scanning with 99mTc-sulfur-minicolloid provided a noninvasive means to assess the extent of marrow damage.

ABSTRACT Ongoing evidence indicates increased risk of sarcopenic obesity among children and young people (CYP) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), often beginning early in treatment, persisting into survivorship. This review evaluates current literature on body composition in CYP with ALL during and after treatment.
