Weak lensing mass bias and the alignment of centre proxies
ABSTRACT Galaxy cluster masses derived from observations of weak lensing suffer from a number of biases affecting the accuracy of mass-observable relations calibrated from such observations. In particular, the choice of the cluster centre plays a prominent role in biasing inferred masses.

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

A study of Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) Application for Mass Imbalance and Vibration Reduction in Gimbal Systems for High-speed Maneuverable Vehicles [PDF]
This study proposed a method for simultaneously reducing mass imbalance and vibration in gimbal systems utilizing a tuned mass damper (TMD) as a balancing weight. Finite element analysis (FEA) and experiments were used for testing the method.

Data Sources for Clinical T1 Renal Masses and the Potential for Bias
The rising incidence of early-stage kidney cancer has driven comparative effectiveness research using cancer registry and administrative data. These sources may be biased for small renal masses (SRM), where histologic confirmation prior to treatment is not standard.

PANoptosis in the pathogenesis of myelodysplastic syndromes
PANoptosis, a combination of three types of programmed cell death, is mediated by a large protein complex called a PANoptosome. In healthy bone marrow hematopoietic cells, PANoptosis is restricted by inhibitory signaling. In MDS, bone marrow cells become sensitive to the PANoptotic stimuli due to the aberrant inactivation of inhibitory signaling or ...

This study identifies somatostatin receptor 4 (Sstr4) as a critical tumor suppressor against skin and head/neck cancers (HNSCC, cSCC, and BCC). The loss of Sstr4 removes a check on cell growth, causing hyperactivation of the MAPK‐ERK signaling pathway (↑).

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
