The Role of Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation in Ataxia‐Telangiectasia
ABSTRACT Background Ataxia‐telangiectasia (A‐T) is a DNA repair disorder characterized by neurodegeneration, immunodeficiency, and cancer predisposition. Hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is an established therapy in related disorders such as Fanconi anemia (FA) and Nijmegen breakage syndrome (NBS), but its role in A‐T is unclear.

AN ABSOLUTE MASS RATE FLOW-METER
A true mass flow rate device has been developed that is absolute in the sense that it requires no calibration. The flow measurement is made by adding a known amount of energy to a gas and finding its resulting temperature increase. The flowmeter is essentially pressure independent and is capable of 0.1% reproducibility.

Response of a Coriolis mass flow meter to step changes in flow rate [PDF]
Abstract Trials have taken place to determine the response of a prototype Coriolis mass flowmeter to step changes in flow rate. The meter typically exhibits a delay of 16 ms, and tracks step changes well. Comparison with previously published results suggests that this performance represents an improvement over several types of current commercial ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

A MEMS Coriolis-Based Mass-Flow-to-Digital Converter for Low Flow Rate Sensing
This article presents a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) Coriolis-based mass-flow-to-digital converter (Φ DC) that can be used with both liquids and gases. It consists of a micromachined Coriolis mass flow sensor and a CMOS interface circuit that drives it into oscillation and digitizes the resulting mass flow information. A phase-locked loop (PLL)

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Extended Mobile Bypass To Measure The Mass Flow Rate
The KONTAS-cp facility consists of a bypass with electric heating, temperature difference measurement and a Coriolis mass flow sensors to measure the specific thermal heat capacity (Cp) of heat transfer fluid (HTF). During the SFERA-II project, the measurement accuracy of the Cp-measurement is enhanced and an additional Coriolis mass flow sensor is ...

Upscaling multi-component two-phase flow in porous media with partitioning coefficient [PDF]
This paper deals with the upscaling of multicomponents two-phase flow in porous media. In this paper, chemical potential equilibrium at the interface between both phases is assumed to be described by a linear partitioning relationship such as Raoult or ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
