An improved deadbeat predictive current control for induction motor drives

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, Volume 16, Issue 1, Page 1-10, 7 January 2023., 2023
This paper proposes a RDPCC, which utilizes the error between the measured current and predicted current to suppress parameter mismatch disturbances. The experimental results show that the dynamic performance and steady‐state performance of the conventional DPCC and proposed RDPCC are consistent when accurate motor parameters are used.

Steady‐state hybrid extended Kalman filter based sensorless voltage controller for a phase‐shifted full‐bridge converter

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, Volume 16, Issue 1, Page 53-63, 7 January 2023., 2023
Abstract This study proposes a steady‐state hybrid extended Kalman filter‐based control method for sensorless output voltage regulation of a phase‐shifted full‐bridge DC/DC converter. Unlike the conventional applications, there are some specific cases where the voltage feedback needs to be received indirectly.

Efficient modelling of natural gas pipeline on electromagnetic transient simulation programs

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 17, Issue 1, Page 186-198, 6 January 2023., 2023
Abstract Electromagnetic transient programs (EMTPs) are widely used for simulating electromagnetic transient in power systems. With the increasing interest in integrated energy system (IES), it would be beneficial to extend the scope of EMTP‐type application to multi‐physics transients in integrated electrical and gas networks.

Lumped and distributed‐parameter pipe model framework for thermal transients: State‐space and transfer function theory and application to multi‐energy systems

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 17, Issue 1, Page 199-215, 6 January 2023., 2023
Abstract The accurate prediction and simulation of thermal transients in district heating networks is essential for the meaningful analysis of combined heat and power systems. For this purpose, the focus of this paper lies on the development of a consistent and comprehensive modelling framework that links diverse pipe model categories to specific ...

An experimental realization of improved grid integrated multilevel inverter based PV systems with MPPT

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, EarlyView., 2022
This research work explains a sliding mode controller‐based multilevel inverter for grid integrated photovoltaic (PV) power structure. A gravitational search algorithm (GSA) based on maximum power point tracking (MPPT) has also been discussed for optimal PV power achievement.

Enhancing Efficiency in Multiscale Simulation: Comparing a Lagrange Multiplier Based Approach and a Weak Staggered Coupling With Optional SPML Interface for Wave Propagation

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The representation of material failure due to wave propagation is essential for the numerical analysis of engineering structures under high dynamic loading. Explicit time integration schemes are well established for this kind of application.

Implicit Central Difference Approximations of Averaged Dynamics of Highly Oscillatory Systems With Applications to Direct Optimal Control

open access: yesOptimal Control Applications and Methods, EarlyView.
Trajectory optimization of highly oscillatory systems can require huge computational efforts if the horizon of the problem is much larger than the duration of a single cycle. To alleviate this effort, stroboscopic averaging methods can be used, which utilize local single‐cycle simulations of the oscillatory dynamics, to then approximate and integrate ...
