Pathways to Mathematics: Longitudinal Predictors of Performance

Child Development, 2010
Abstract A model of the relations among cognitive precursors, early numeracy skill, and mathematical outcomes was tested for 182 children from 4.5 to 7.5 years of age. The model integrates research from neuroimaging, clinical populations, and normal development in children and adults.

A mathematical model of retrieval system performance

Journal of the American Society for Information Science, 1990
There have been a number of major evaluations of the performance of retrieval systems against large full text and surrogate (bibliographic) databases. These evaluations have concentrated on the experimental determination of the Precision Ratio, the fraction of retrieved items that are relevant to an information request, and the Recall Ratio, the ...

Gender and Racial Differences in Mathematical Performance

The Journal of Social Psychology, 1999
The authors examined gender and racial differences in mathematics performance among 5th- and 8th-grade students in the United States. Math performance was assessed by scores on the math-concepts and math-computation sections of the California Achievement Test (CTB/McGraw-Hill, 1986) given at the end of the previous year.

Mathematics-Writing Performance of Students Experiencing Mathematics Difficulties in China

Journal of Learning Disabilities
This study aimed to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the mathematics-writing (MW) performance of students with mathematics difficulties (MDs) in China. We compared the performance of students with MD with their typically developing (TD) and high-performing (HP) peers. The analysis was based on a sample of 138 sixth-grade students.

Mathematical Performance Modelling of Stretched Hypercubes

2007
The stretched hypercube has recently been introduced as an attractive alternative to the well-known hypercube. Previous research on this network topology has mainly focused on topological properties, VLSI and algorithmic aspects of this network. Several analytical models have been proposed in the literature for different interconnection networks, as ...
