Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Approximate solution of linear integral equations by Taylor ordering method: Applied mathematical approach

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2022
Since obtaining an analytic solution to some mathematical and physical problems is often very difficult, academics in recent years have focused their efforts on treating these problems using numerical methods.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Efficient Derivative-Free Class of Seventh Order Method for Non-differentiable Equations

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Mathematical Analysis, 2023
Many applications from a wide variety of disciplines in the natural sciences and also in engineering are reduced to solving of an equation or a system of equations in a correspondingly chosen abstract area.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Atom-Constrained Gridless DOA Refinement With Wirtinger Gradients

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Signal Processing
This paper proposes gridless sparse direction-of-arrival (DOA) refinement using gradient-based optimization. The objective function minimizes the fit between the sample covariance matrix (SCM) and a reconstructed covariance matrix.

Analytic response theory for the density matrix renormalization group [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We propose an analytic response theory for the density matrix renormalization group, whereby response properties correspond to analytic derivatives of density matrix renormalization group observables with respect to the applied perturbations. Both static

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

On optimal completions of incomplete pairwise comparison matrices

open access: yes, 2010
An important variant of a key problem for multi-attribute decision making is considered. We study the extension of the pairwise comparison matrix to the case when only partial information is available: for some pairs no comparison is given. It is natural
