Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.

Asymptotic analysis of stochastic models of hierarchic structure and applications in queueing models
A class of switching stochastic systems with hierarchic state space working in different scales of time ( slow and fast) that are adequate mathematical models at the analysis and modelling of various classes of computing systems and networks of a ...

Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

Managing river flow in arid regions with matrix analytic methods
Matrix analytic methods (MAM) support non-geometric transitions between sets of states, termed levels, by introducing states, known as phases, within levels. The phases can correspond to an observed variable or they can be hidden.

Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

A New Look at Matrix Analytic Methods
In the past several decades, matrix analytic methods have proven effective at studying two important sub-classes of block-structured Markov processes: G/M/1-type Markov processes and M/G/1-type Markov processes.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

A Sandwich with Water: Bayesian & Frequentist Inference Under Model Misspecification
In this paper we review basic elements of Frequentist inference, specifically maximum likelihood (ML) and M-estimation, to point out a critical flaw of Bayesian methods for hydrologic model training and uncertainty quantification.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Bootstrapping high-energy observables
In this paper, we set up the numerical S-matrix bootstrap by using the crossing symmetric dispersion relation (CSDR) to write down Roy equations for the partial waves.
