Analytical calculations of molecular integrals for multielectron R-matrix methods
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2006Closed-form analytical expressions for one- and two-electron integrals between Cartesian Gaussians over a finite spherical region of space are developed for use in ab initio molecular scattering calculations. In contrast with some previous approaches, the necessary integrals are formulated solely in terms of finite summations involving standard ...

Efficient Analytic Continuation of Power Series by Matrix Summation Methods
Computational Methods and Function Theory, 2003The authors investigate some problems of efficient analytic continuation of power series in the plane \(\mathbb C\) by means of summability methods. They describe a new class of sets differing from domains allowing efficient summation (Theorem 1).

A method for the analytic continuation of theS-matrix for cut-off potentials
Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1973Thel-th partial-waveS-matrix element for cut-off potentials is Taylor-expanded in the energy and momentum variables. The expansion is based on a suitable finite-interval Green’s function, by which the derivatives are obtained in a recursion form involving only repeated integrations of the Green’s function itself.

Matrix analytical methods for M/PH/1 Retrial queues
Communications in Statistics. Stochastic Models, 1995Summary: A matrix analytical approach is applied to retrial queues with phase type service time distributions. A matrix product form is obtained for the joint stationary distribution of queue length and service phase and a stability condition is derived. A numerical method is derived for obtaining the distribution of the number of retrials per customer

W-matrix method for the representation of the scatteringTmatrix: Analytical example
Physical Review C, 1990The original W-matrix approach, introduced recently by the Bonn group, represents the T matrix by a rank-one separable term. The method is exactly half on shell, but a nonzero remainder R occurs fully off shell. For potentials for which the scattering phase shift has a zero, the remainder can be non-negligible, even for energies far from the zero.

Differentiability of the matrices r and g in the matrix-analytic method
Communications in Statistics. Stochastic Models, 1995In the matrix-analytic method of queueing theory certain matrices \(R(x)\) and \(G(x)\) depending on the variable \(x\) are used [see e.g. \textit{M. F. Neuts}, ``Matrix-geometric solutions in stochastic models. An algorithmic approach'' (1981; Zbl 0469.60002)].

Perfluorocarboxylic acids (PFCAs) are persistent chemicals that have been found widely in the environment. Their accurate determination in environmental matrixes, particularly soil, sediment, and sludge, at low levels presents significant analytical challenges.

ACM SIGMETRICS Performance Evaluation Review, 2012
Matrix-analytic methods have advanced considerably since the pioneering work of Marcel Neuts [6, 5] on Quasi-Birth-Death (QBD), GI/M/1- and M/G/1- type Markov chains (MCs). Especially the algorithms involved to (iteratively) solve these structured Markov chains have matured a lot, which has resulted in more efficient, but also more complex algorithms ...

Lactic Acid in the Food Matrix: Analytical Methods
2017The aim of this chapter is to give a quick and sufficiently comprehensible overview of the current analytical methods for the quantitative and qualitative determination of lactic acid in foods. The importance of lactic acid in the world of food production is well known at present.
