Alcohol‐induced altered glycans in human tracheal epithelial cells promote bacterial adhesion
Alcohol induces altered glycans to promote bacteria adhesion. Heavy alcohol drinking is known to increase the risk of bacterial pneumonia. However, the link between alcohol levels and risk of infection remains underexplored. Recently, we found that alcohol induced α2‐6sialo mucin O‐glycans in human tracheobronchial epithelial cells, which mediated the ...

On Path Laplacian Eigenvalues and Path Laplacian Energy of Graphs
We introduce the concept of Path Laplacian Matrix for a graph and explore the eigenvalues of this matrix. The eigenvalues of this matrix are called the path Laplacian eigenvalues of the graph.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Norms and compactness of operators on absolute weighted mean summable series
In a recent paper [16], we characterized the classes of triangular matrix transformations mapping the spaces INpI and INqIk into the spaces INqIk and INqI, respectively, where the space INpIk, of series summable by absolute summability method.

Perturbations in the Nevai matrix class of orthogonal matrix polynomials
In this paper we study a Jacobi block matrix and the behavior of the limit of its entries when a perturbation of its spectral matrix measure by the addition of a Dirac delta matrix measure is introduced.

QUEUEING DISCIPLINES BASED ON PRIORITY MATRIX [PDF]
The paper deals with queueing disciplines for demands of general type in queueing systems with multivendor load. A priority matrix is proposed to be used for the purpose of mathematical description of such disciplines, which represents the priority ...
