A Unifying Variational Perspective on Some Fundamental Information Theoretic Inequalities [PDF]
This paper proposes a unifying variational approach for proving and extending some fundamental information theoretic inequalities. Fundamental information theory results such as maximization of differential entropy, minimization of Fisher information ...

Spectral Simplicity of Apparent Complexity, Part I: The Nondiagonalizable Metadynamics of Prediction
Virtually all questions that one can ask about the behavioral and structural complexity of a stochastic process reduce to a linear algebraic framing of a time evolution governed by an appropriate hidden-Markov process generator.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

A fractal-fractional order Susceptible-Exposed-Infected-Recovered (SEIR) model with Caputo sense
This study explores the intricacies of the COVID-19 pandemic by employing a four-compartment model with a fractal-fractional derivative based on Caputo concept.

Drichlet forms for Poisson measures and L\'evy processes : the lent particle method [PDF]
We present a new approach to absolute continuity of laws of Poisson functionals. The theoretical framework is that of local Dirichlet forms as a tool to study probability spaces. The method gives rise to a new explicit calculus that we show first on some

Densities for SDEs driven by degenerate $\alpha$-stable processes
In this work, by using the Malliavin calculus, under H\"ormander's condition, we prove the existence of distributional densities for the solutions of stochastic differential equations driven by degenerate subordinated Brownian motions.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Signal Classification in Quotient Spaces via Globally Optimal Variational Calculus
A ubiquitous problem in pattern recognition is that of matching an observed time-evolving pattern (or signal) to a gold standard in order to recognize or characterize the meaning of a dynamic phenomenon.

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve
