Nonself-Adjoint Second-Order Difference Operators in Limit-Circle Cases
We consider the maximal dissipative second-order difference (or discrete Sturm-Liouville) operators acting in the Hilbert space â2đ€(â€) (â€:={0,±1,±2,âŠ}), that is, the extensions of a minimal symmetric operator with defect index (2,2) (in the Weyl ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stressâresponsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5âČ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

HĂÆölder Quasicontinuity in Variable Exponent Sobolev Spaces
We show that a function in the variable exponent Sobolev spaces coincides with a HĂÆölder continuous Sobolev function outside a small exceptional set.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryoâelectron tomography with AIâbased modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Vector-Valued Inequalities in the Morrey Type Spaces
We will obtain the strong type and weak type estimates for vector-valued analogues of classical Hardy-Littlewood maximal function, weighted maximal function, and singular integral operators in the weighted Morrey spaces Lp,Îș(w) when 1 ...

A matrix weighted bilinear Carleson Lemma and Maximal Function
We prove a bilinear Carleson embedding theorem with matrix weight and scalar measure. In the scalar case, this becomes exactly the well known weighted bilinear Carleson embedding theorem. Although only allowing scalar Carleson measures, it is to date the

Sequence determinants of RNA Gâquadruplex unfolding by Argârich regions
We show that Argârich peptides selectively unfold RNA Gâquadruplexes, but not RNA stemâloops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This lengthâdependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SRârelated proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1â70K, and U2AF1).

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDPâxylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a shortâstature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181AsnâhUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wildâtype but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a lowâcost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by Xâray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
