The Ergodic Maximal Function with Cancellation
The Annals of Probability, 1976 A variant of the ergodic maximal function is studied. This maximal function reduces to the usual one for $f \geqq 0$, but the cancellation between the positive and negative parts of $f$ causes interesting behavior. In particular the maximal function can be in $L^1$ even when the function is not in $L \log^+ L$.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
