One-sided Duo rings are McCoy

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper we prove that one-sided Duo rings are (two-sided) McCoy. By doing so, we are then able to explicitly describe some of these ring element annihilators of polynomials in McCoy rings. We conclude the paper by showing the place of these results in the literature by way of an extension of a convenient diagram from a paper by Camillo and ...

Assessment of two minimally invasive methodologies for sex identification in the European eel, Anguilla anguilla

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Sex is an important driver of variation in behaviour, ecology and physiology. Sex identification in the Critically Endangered European eel (Anguilla anguilla) currently requires fish sacrifice, or the use of morphological differences such as body length, which can be inaccurate in certain habitats and at intermediate body lengths.

Linear equations over commutative rings

open access: yes, 1977
A generalized rank (McCoy rank) of a matrix with entries in a commutative ring R with identity is discussed. Some necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the linear equation Ax = b are derived, where x, b are vectors and A is a matrix ...

The Social‐Ecological Model of Military Family Financial Well‐Being

open access: yesJournal of Family Theory &Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The social‐ecological model of military family financial well‐being was developed to delineate and depict individual‐, family‐, community‐, military‐ and societal‐level factors that jointly shape these families' financial well‐being. Theoretical frameworks that ground efforts to enhance families' financial well‐being remain underdeveloped but ...

Whose Rhetoric Matters? Social Responsibility Rhetoric and the Moderating Influence of Social Roles in Crowdfunding Pitches

open access: yesJournal of Management Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract We use role congruity theory to examine how differing role expectations surrounding entrepreneur gender and race shape the influence of social responsibility rhetoric used in crowdfunding pitches. To do so, we develop a novel content‐analytic measure of social responsibility rhetoric using the Kinder, Lydenberg, and Domini (KLD) dimensions of ...

Noble gases and nitrogen in material from asteroid Bennu

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, EarlyView.
Abstract We report the elemental and isotopic abundances of all stable noble gases (helium, neon, argon, krypton, and xenon) in eight particles from asteroid Bennu returned by NASA's OSIRIS‐REx mission. We also report nitrogen abundances and isotopic ratios that were analyzed alongside neon and argon in four additional Bennu particles.
